Thanks to the players who represented XP CEBU in the "mens-open" at Mizuno cup last Sunday. Our team cruised true the group stage with 2 win and and draw to finish 1st in the group. In the round of the last 16 we held on to a goal-less 0:0 and won the penalties with ease.
At the 1/4 final came the end with an unlucky goal just 30 sec. before the final whistle. Despite this team never played together at a tournament they played well. It was composed of 5 iranians, 2 french, 1 english, 1 brazilian and 1 hungarian.
This brings me to the critics about the support of our regular players. instead of having 15 players we where only 10. from this 10 player only 8 where present at the start of the games. With this attitude of support we can forget to play in upcoming tournaments. Its also a shame that we where unable to bring a team for the 36 plus competition.
