Player Conduct

Guys,

The following is not an attack on any individual; please accept the following in the context of player conduct.

We have, over the last few months, seen some disturbing behavior from players within the team and chosen not to react; this will now be corrected.

We all accept that football is a passionate game, we all acknowledge the satisfaction of playing on the winning team and we all agree that football is a wonderful and entertaining sport. If you disagree then you are lying to yourself.

It is a fact that no player is equal, some of us have greater ability than others, some can run continuously for the whole game whilst others need to pace themselves. We have some talented footballers on our team just as we some very average players accept that fact and we will all get on splendidly.

At a recent meeting it was agreed that we would nominate captains who in turn would organize the players on the pitch; they would of course try and accommodate players preferences but the fact is this cannot always happen. Get use to that fact. The captain will be the arbitrator on the day; you will listen to them and comply with their wishes. Get use to that fact.

We will no longer tolerate arguments on the pitch, shouts of displeasure and leaving the pitch in protest. Grow-up, act like adults, begin to enjoy your game and give respect to those players that are fed-up with this behavior. It ruins the fun for everyone.

Ignore the above and you will be given a ban the length of which will be decided by the senior players. If you don’t like it find another team, again I reiterate you will not be allowed to ruin the enjoyment of the other players.

You have been warned!
