aboitiz cup

one of the directors of CebuFA informed me that on september 23/24 there will be the aboitiz cup for men's open and also for 35 and above. the tournament will be held somewhere here in cebu. so far i did not receive the rules and regulations, schedule of games and whatsoever. but anyways, can everyone please give me a feed back, if you are generally interested to play and also which team you prefer to play with. we actually plan to field a team for each category.

last saturday the following players signed in already:
men's open: jordi, nicolas C., mehrdad, rodolphe, babak
35 above: horst, manolo, tony, holger, angelo, mansour, conor, otto, juergen W.,

since this will be a 7 -a-side-tournament, we probably need around 10-12 players for each team. so please get in touch.

last saturday, before i left timex, i was able to find a pair of brown leather shoes/boots. anybody missing those? just let me know, so i can return them asap.

Conor turning 40!

For sure he's a great guy! Can't make it, but wish you (all) a great day. Conor, enjoy and pls. realize that from now on it will gonna get better. Much less running and more strategic play.

Minutes of meeting July 18th, 2006

Present: Horst, Otto, Tony & Panni

1. The club would like to recognize the contribution of Albert and the outstanding support that he showed to the team during his time in Cebu. As such Albert is to become an honoury member. Manolo; can you please action?
2. Heiko (potentialy Albert also) will be in Cebu early August. We would like to run a club outing on the 6th August for all paid up members and their familly at Wolfgangs resort. Beer and Food will be 'free of charge' and games organized. We will canvass for your committment.
3. The club presently has P18,533 in funds; Otto has been authorized to purchase a 'World Cup' football at P5000
4. Horst will enquire in to new nets for the large goals and report
5. Kick-off will remain at 4.30 on Saturdays
6. Potential to loose the 5-a-side pitch at the Shang; Tony to investigate options
7. Rodolpheto secure details for the Manila tournament in November. Tony to secure interest from members. Please note you will need at least P10,000 in entry, flight and hotel costs plus expenses for the weekend.

after watching the phantastic world cup atmosphere back in germany i arrived in cebu last week and i am quite happy to play footy myself. we actually had a very good game yesterday in timex.

now, since everybody is back on track, we decided to go on with our XP-routine, which means that we shall have our monthly meeting this coming tuesday,18th of july, in 'cafe theatro' at around 8.30 pm. please all come and make a good ROI on your monthly dues: the beer is freeeeee !!! it's on the club !!

your treasurer reports back...just in time for the great finals. until the quarterfinals i was watching this great championship back home in germany. the semis i had the pleasure to see them in Bangkok, even we lost to italy, it was a great match. congrats to them and also to france who beat brazil well deserved. so guys see you on sunday nigth at badgers for the final...
